AAA has it’s next big storyline for El Grande Americano. How do you top the epic mask versus mask finale between El Grande Americano and Original Grande Americano? The answer is Los Perros de Mal. Saturday night’s live episode of AAA (June 20, 2026) came from Mérida, Mexico. Fans were eager to celebrate the return of El Grande Americano. The hero arrived for the occasion holding a duck dressed in a Mexico soccer jersey. ¡Comenzamos! #AAAenFOX desde Mérida ¡EN VIVO! pic.twitter.com/cHLUhMAQ4Y — Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide (@luchalibreaaa) June 21, 2026 El Grande Americano closed the show with a promo thanking friends, fans, lovers, and Mexico for support. What’s next? EGA turned his focus to the AAA Mega Championship held by Dominik Mysterio. That’s when a blond from NXT stepped out on stage. Karmen Petrovic walked to the ring as a distraction for four men to enter from the backside. EGA was surrounded by Daga, Angel Garza, Humberto Carrillo, and Bronco Nima. This crew of hooligans went into beatdown mode to ambush El Grande Americano. The focus was on Nima as the powerhouse. They held up EGA, so Petrovic could deliver a corkscrew roundhouse kick. New factions are always interesting, but the cherry on top came next. This crew unzipped their sweatshirts to reveal the name. Perros del Mal! To use G-rated language, holy moly! The censored reaction would be a bunch of symbols to cover for profanity of excitement. Seriously, I got goosebumps at the Perros del Mal reveal. Los Perros del Mal were one of AAA’s hottest factions with Hijo del Perro Aguayo as the leader. Unfortunately, Hijo del Perro Aguayo suffered a tragic death at the age of 35 in 2015. The group expanded over the years to include Hector Garza (uncle to Angel and Berto), Pentagon Jr. (Penta in WWE), Daga, Taya Valkyrie, and many more. There was often talk of bringing the name back for a new group, and the inspiration for these new members is apparent. Daga is an OG, Los Garza have family ties, Petrovic can fill the Taya role (I mean nobody can fill Taya’s shoes, but you get the idea), and Nima is the enforcer. As with any good faction reveal, questions of intrigue are abound. Most important, who is the leader? Daga would make sense, and he seems ready for the breakout. There is a sinking suspicion that Dominik Mysterio could be the one in charge. They conveniently came out as EGA was calling to challenge Dirty Dom. Or as mentioned on commentary, attacking the biggest star is a surefire way to make a splash. Let’s hope AAA brings back the classic theme song from Cartel de Santa. Share your reaction to this new group of Perros del Mal ambushing El Grande Americano in AAA.
