New York Giants quarterback Jameis Winston released a commercial for DoorDash shortly before the team begins its 2026 NFL campaign. In the advertisement, Winston mimics a controversial incident from his college career at Florida State by placing crab legs in a shopping basket and claiming they are already paid for. The spot references a 2014 event where Winston was cited for taking crab legs and crawfish from a supermarket without paying, an incident he later characterized as a misunderstanding with a store employee. The quarterback recently signed a two-year, $13 million contract extension with the Giants. The team is scheduled to open its season against the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday. Winston previously served as a reporter for the 2026 FIFA World Cup during the NFL offseason.
