New York Giants release offensive lineman Evan Neal

The New York Giants released offensive lineman Evan Neal, ending his four-year tenure with the organization. The team originally selected Neal with the seventh overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft. Despite expectations that he would anchor the offensive line, Neal struggled with injuries and inconsistent play throughout his time in New York. He appeared in 29 regular-season games with 27 starts during his career with the franchise. After the team declined his fifth-year option, the Giants re-signed him to a one-year deal this offseason to compete for a role at guard. He failed to secure a spot on the roster following the team's decision to draft Francis Mauigoa and add veteran depth to the position.
