New York Liberty sign Elizabeth Balogun to developmental contract

The New York Liberty signed Elizabeth Balogun to a developmental player contract on August 19, 2026. Balogun, a 6’1 forward, previously played for the French LFB team and was a standout at Duke University. This signing comes as the Liberty look to fill the gap left by Leonie Fiebich, who is out for the season. Balogun has performed well with the Nigerian national team, averaging 10.6 points per game in the 2026 FIBA World Cup Qualifying Tournament. Her performance in the Liberty's training camp included contributions in two preseason games.
