The New York Mets promoted 23-year-old pitcher Calvin Ziegler to Double-A Binghamton, marking his first appearance at that level. The move comes as the team prepares for a series against the New York Yankees starting this Friday. Ziegler arrives in Binghamton after spending the current season across several minor league levels, including the FCL Mets, Single-A St. Lucie, and High-A Brooklyn. Throughout his 16 appearances this year, the pitcher recorded a 0-1 record with an 8.03 ERA and 15 strikeouts. The organization seeks to evaluate his performance at the higher level as the Mets look to extend their current four-game winning streak. His success with the Double-A club could influence his potential to remain on the roster.
