New York Yankees miss out on CJ Abrams as trade rumors end

Summary

CJ Abrams, a potential trade target for the New York Yankees, will reportedly remain with the Washington Nationals as the MLB trade deadline approaches on August 3. Jon Heyman of the New York Post states that the Nationals are not planning to trade Abrams, a strong performance for them since the All-Star break. The Yankees may now focus on other infield options, including Zach Neto, Luis Arraez, or Gleyber Torres, as they seek to improve their roster. With Abrams' impressive season statistics, including a.294 batting average and 27 home runs, the Nationals likely aim to maintain their playoff hopes.
