Newark Valley runners record victories at the Southern Cayuga Duals meet

The Newark Valley boys and girls cross country teams secured team victories at the Southern Cayuga Duals on September 9. In the girls' competition, Newark Valley edged Southern Cayuga with a score of 25-31, led by Hadley Merrill’s first-place time of 17:12. The boys' team finished first in a three-team field with 25 points, as Camden King claimed the individual title in 16:27.8. These results follow the Corning Action Figure Relays held on September 5, where Christopher Lawson and Bella Martinec posted the top two-mile times for the boys and girls respectively.
