Newcastle manager Matthias Jaissle reaffirms commitment to Lewis Hall

Newcastle United head coach Matthias Jaissle has stated that Lewis Hall remains a vital component of his long-term plans at the club. Despite interest from Manchester United during the summer transfer window, Jaissle dismissed the prospect of a transfer and indicated that the defender is central to his strategy. The manager acknowledged that interest in Newcastle players will likely recur in future windows but maintains that the current squad is settled. Beyond Hall, Newcastle retained both Jacob Murphy and Joe Willock despite interest from other clubs. Nottingham Forest pursued Murphy, while a proposed transfer for Willock to Besiktas did not materialize due to the player's recent form. Jaissle confirmed that these personnel decisions were final, emphasizing that the players have proven their quality during the preseason.
