Newcastle offer three-year contract to Joao Palhinha amid Villa collapse
Summary

Newcastle United has presented a three-year contract offer to Joao Palhinha, previously of Bayern Munich, after Aston Villa's negotiations for the midfielder fell through. Personal terms had been reportedly agreed with Villa, but Bayern's sporting director Max Eberl stated that an agreement was unattainable due to their preference for a permanent transfer. Newcastle aims to bolster their midfield after significant player departures this summer. Palhinha's Premier League experience and strong performance at Tottenham last season make him a targeted fit for the Magpies. His next move remains uncertain, with interest also coming from Benfica.
