Newcastle plans to activate Lukas Hornicek's release clause from Braga

Newcastle United is expected to proceed with a transfer for Braga goalkeeper Lukas Hornicek by triggering his £30 million release clause. The Czech international has enjoyed a standout season, recording 24 clean sheets in 55 matches, including seven in 14 Europa League appearances. Although Newcastle recently signed Ewen Jaouen, Hornicek's experience makes him an appealing choice for the club, particularly after the departure of former boss Eddie Howe.
