Newcastle targets Strasbourg defender Guela Doue for summer transfer

Summary

Newcastle United is pursuing Strasbourg right-back Guela Doue as part of their summer transfer plans following the 2025-26 season. The club currently has only Tino Livramento as an established senior right-back after losing Kieran Trippier and Emil Krafth. Reports indicate that Strasbourg may reluctantly consider selling Doue if they receive an offer starting at £25 million, despite their desire to retain him due to financial constraints. Doue, 23, has been a key player for Strasbourg, appearing 34 times last season with two goals and seven assists, and he is reportedly open to a move to the Premier League.
