Newcastle United is working to finalize a deal for Johan Manzambi, a midfielder from Freiburg, as negotiations intensify. The 20-year-old has gained recognition during the 2026 FIFA World Cup, playing a crucial role for Switzerland with three goals and an assist in the group stage. Newcastle is motivated to complete the agreement as Freiburg values Manzambi at approximately £42 million. The club is actively pursuing midfield enhancements following Sandro Tonali's move to Tottenham Hotspur for £100 million.
