Newcastle United defender Dan Burn remains sidelined with an injury that will keep him out of action until after the September international break. His absence was felt during the weekend match against Bournemouth at St James' Park, which concluded in a draw. Reports indicate that Newcastle captain Malik Thiaw and teammate Sven Botman struggled to maintain defensive stability during the first half of the contest. Former head coach Eddie Howe and England manager Thomas Tuchel previously highlighted Burn for his reliable consistency and communication skills on the pitch. Newcastle head coach Matthias Jaissle is currently overseeing a project focused on integrating younger players into the first-team squad. The club anticipates that a fully fit Burn will provide the leadership necessary to stabilize the defensive line as the season progresses.

""We're on the telly!" Perhaps not the exact words uttered by Dan Burn Jr, but based upon his big smile and thumbs up once realising both he and his dad had made their way on to the St James' Park big screen on Saturday, I think I'm safe in my assumption. The VIP box was as close as Burn Sr got to the weekend's draw with Bournemouth. Injury has ruled him out of action until after the September international break, and his absence in the heart of the Newcastle defence hasn't gone unnoticed.
