Newcastle United pursue Bilal El Khannouss from Stuttgart for £48.9m

Newcastle United is actively pursuing Bundesliga midfielder Bilal El Khannouss, with talks reportedly underway for a transfer valued at approximately £48.9 million. The club seeks to enhance its attacking options, looking for players to fill the roles of 'number 10' and 'number 7'. This move coincides with possible shifts in the squad, particularly concerning forward Nick Woltemade, who may be allowed to leave as Newcastle looks to refine its attack. El Khannouss, previously with Leicester City, is seen as a player capable of making an immediate impact in the Premier League. The situation remains fluid, with no final agreements yet in place.
