Newcastle United releases designs for 190 million pound training facility

Newcastle United has unveiled architectural concepts for a new training complex at the 260-acre Woolsington Hall estate. The project, estimated to cost 190 million pounds, aims to integrate performance, medical, and administrative operations for the first team and Academy. Plans developed by architects Populous feature seventeen football pitches, an energy centre, and a dedicated performance hub. The club intends to restore the existing historic buildings on the property while constructing the modern facility. Newcastle plans to submit a formal planning application in early 2027. If the project receives approval, the club targets a move to the new site before the 2029/30 season, aiming to create an elite environment for long-term player development.
