Newcastle United starts new era under Matthias Jaissle against Valencia

Matthias Jaissle will manage his first friendly for Newcastle United against Valencia at the Mestalla. This match marks the beginning of a new cycle for Newcastle following Eddie Howe's departure after a lackluster season, finishing 12th in the Premier League. New management aims to shift towards younger players as part of a strategic overhaul due to UEFA restrictions. Despite relinquishing key players like Sandro Tonali and Anthony Gordon, Newcastle has made five signings this summer while facing ongoing challenges in the transfer market. Jaissle's experience with developing young talent will be crucial as the team prepares for the Premier League opener against Liverpool on August 23.
