Newcastle United targets midfielder Yasin Ayari amid early season struggles

Summary

Newcastle United is facing challenges after a shaky start to the 2026/27 Premier League season, with head coach Matthias Jaissle seeking to define his approach. Currently, the team has two wins, two draws, and three losses in seven matches. Central midfield reinforcement is crucial following Bruno Guimarães' departure to Arsenal. The club is reportedly interested in Brighton's Yasin Ayari, who has impressed this season, but Brighton appears poised to secure his future with a contract extension.
