Jacobs recently entered a no contest plea regarding charges of battery and criminal damage to property after an incident at his residence. Court documents allege the video shows the player throwing a woman to the ground and subsequently damaging her phone. While the battery charge remains on his record, the criminal damage charge is deferred under an agreement requiring counseling and restitution over the next 12 months. A judge previously ordered the evidence sealed, complicating the league’s efforts to acquire the footage.
