NFL executives and coaches rank Caleb Williams as ninth best quarterback

Summary

Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams is ranked as the ninth best signal-caller in the NFL following a poll of league coaches, general managers, and executives. This ranking follows a breakout season where Williams established a new franchise single-season passing record and directed seven fourth-quarter comebacks. Among NFC quarterbacks, Williams trails only Matthew Stafford of the Los Angeles Rams and Dak Prescott of the Dallas Cowboys in the survey. The list features Josh Allen of the Buffalo Bills, Patrick Mahomes, Joe Burrow, and Lamar Jackson among those ranked ahead of Williams. Drake Maye of the New England Patriots is the only quarterback with the same level of league experience positioned higher in the poll. Observers note Williams maintains potential for further growth while working with offensive coordinator Ben Johnson in the upcoming season.
