NFL executives rank Jacksonville Jaguars ninth in the AFC

Despite the team finishing last season with a 13-4 record and winning the AFC South, six executives surveyed expressed caution regarding the club's potential for repeating that performance. Five of those polled categorized the Jaguars as division contenders, while only one identified the team as a Super Bowl contender. Evaluators cited concerns regarding consistency from quarterback Trevor Lawrence and the departure of players including Travis Etienne and Devin Lloyd. Conversely, supporters of the organization pointed to the coaching staff, including head coach Liam Coen, as evidence the team can maintain its competitive standing. The Jaguars open their season in just over one week as they look to prove their previous success was not a singular event.
