NFL expansion discussions resurface amid UFL championship talk

Summary

Following the UFL's championship game, owner Mike Repole mentioned that the NFL is discussing the possibility of adding two expansion teams. Currently, the NFL has 32 franchises, but as the league considers an 18-game regular season, expanding could be a future step. Repole's comments suggest ongoing conversations about growth, which could involve new markets domestically and internationally. However, current owners need to assess whether new franchises would generate sufficient revenue to justify such a move, making expansion a topic of potential future interest.
