NFL fines Colts defensive backs Cam Taylor-Britt and Trey Washington

The NFL issued fines to two Indianapolis Colts defensive backs for plays during the preseason that did not result in on-field penalties. Cornerback Cam Taylor-Britt was fined $7,791 for an incident involving striking, kicking, tripping, or kneeing during the preseason finale against the Detroit Lions. Safety Trey Washington received a $5,583 fine for a facemask infraction that occurred during the team's preseason loss to the Atlanta Falcons. Neither player was flagged by officials during the actual games for the actions cited by the league. Thirty players across the NFL received fines for preseason conduct under the collective bargaining agreement. Taylor-Britt is currently slated to miss the Colts' regular-season opener against the Baltimore Ravens due to a separate suspension for violating the league’s personal conduct policy.
