NFL teams establish waiver wire order following league roster cuts

NFL clubs are setting rosters for the 2026 season following league-wide cuts finalized on Sunday. The current waiver wire order is based on the 2026 NFL draft order and will remain in effect through the first three weeks of the season. Starting in Week 4, the priority will transition to the reverse order of the regular season standings. The Las Vegas Raiders hold the top position in the current priority list, while the Seattle Seahawks occupy the final spot. Teams may submit waiver claims for players with fewer than four accrued seasons, with processing scheduled for 11:00 a.m. MT on Monday. Once the waiver process concludes, clubs are authorized to begin assembling 16- or 17-player practice squads.
