NFL teams receive performance evaluations for roster of former LSU players

NFL teams enter the 2026 season with varying concentrations of former LSU players on their active rosters. The Houston Texans lead the AFC in this regard, earning an A+ grade for a roster that includes Derek Stingley Jr., Danielle Hunter, Foster Moreau, Ed Ingram, and newly acquired Kayshon Boutte. Conversely, the Miami Dolphins sit at the bottom of the AFC rankings with a grade of F, as they currently only employ Major Burns on the practice squad. High marks were also assigned to the Buffalo Bills and Cincinnati Bengals, with the latter benefiting from the presence of Joe Burrow and Ja’Marr Chase. Meanwhile, teams such as the New York Jets and Cleveland Browns received lower marks for failing to utilize LSU alumni to address roster weaknesses. Evaluations for NFC teams are scheduled for release next week.
