NFL.com ranks Lions quarterback Jared Goff outside of the top ten

NFL.com placed Detroit Lions quarterback Jared Goff 11th in its latest ranking of league starters ahead of the 2026 season. Despite finishing second in the league in both passing yards and passing touchdowns last year, Goff landed in the second tier of the site's analysis. The evaluation cited concerns regarding the offensive line and the team's failure to reach the playoffs last season as factors in his placement. He currently sits behind several other signal callers including Caleb Williams, Sam Darnold, and Dak Prescott. The Lions ended the previous campaign with a 9-8 record, placing them fourth in the NFC North. Detroit will open its 2026 season this Sunday at Ford Field against the New Orleans Saints.
