NHL teams make significant trades ahead of 2026 draft weekend

Leading up to the 2026 NHL Draft, several players have been traded. The Florida Panthers acquired Brady Tkachuk and Garnet Hathaway, while the Chicago Blackhawks traded the No. 4 overall pick for Bowen Byram. The Washington Capitals received Alex Tuch and Jordan Kyrou in their deals. Additionally, Valeri Nichushkin, William Eklund, Michael Kesselring, and Simon Nemec have also switched teams. Jason Robertson rejected an offer from the Kraken and can become a restricted free agent on July 1.
