Nic Coward appointed chair of National League starting July 1

Nic Coward has been appointed as the new chair of the National League, effective July 1. He succeeds Jack Pearce, who is stepping down after five years in the role. Coward, 60, brings extensive experience in sports administration, having served as interim chief executive of the Football Association and in various roles across football, athletics, horse racing, and golf. National League CEO Phil Alexander expressed confidence in Coward's ability to bring his expertise to the organization. The upcoming National League season is set to start on the weekend of August 8, with fixtures announced on July 10.
