Nick Coppola joins the Greenville News as new Clemson beat writer

The Greenville News has hired Nick Coppola to cover Clemson athletics. Coppola, a University of Oklahoma graduate, previously served as the beat writer for New Mexico State at the Las Cruces Sun-News. His background includes recognition in the Associated Press Sports Editors student contest and extensive experience reporting on football and other collegiate programs. In his new role, he plans to focus on the Clemson football program led by Dabo Swinney, along with the school's rising basketball, baseball, and softball teams. Coppola arrives at the start of the week leading up to the program's matchup against LSU. He will provide coverage for the Greenville News and the USA Today Network moving forward.
