Nick Daicos wins 2026 Brownlow Medal, sets new voting record

Nick Daicos secured his first Brownlow Medal on September 21, 2026, breaking through after three previous top three finishes. He established a commanding lead in the voting, finishing with 47 votes, which also broke the all-time record of 45 votes. Daicos is the first player from Collingwood to win the award since Dane Swan in 2011. Western Bulldogs captain Marcus Bontempelli also achieved a milestone by surpassing Patrick Dangerfield's record for most three-vote games.
