Niclas Füllkrug scored in the second half for Werder Bremen to secure a 1-1 draw against Köln at RheinEnergieStadion on Saturday. His goal neutralized an earlier strike from Linton Maina. Füllkrug has now scored in consecutive matches following his return to the club, having also netted during last week’s 3-1 victory against RB Leipzig. The forward acknowledged the team struggled for fluidity throughout the match but praised their defensive effort and collective work rate during difficult periods.
