Nicolò Tresoldi commits to Germany international soccer program

Club Brugge striker Nicolò Tresoldi has informed the Italian Football Federation that he will continue his international career with Germany. The forward, who recently scored in a 3-2 loss against Aston Villa in the Champions League, reversed his previous intention to represent Italy. Born in Italy but raised in Germany, Tresoldi has represented the German youth system since 2022 and currently features for the U21 squad. The decision follows discussions with Italy head coach Roberto Mancini and technical director Claudio Ranieri. Tresoldi intends to complete the current U21 European Championship qualifying campaign with Germany and is expected to compete in the tournament next summer. He has recorded five goals in seven matches for Club Brugge this season and remains eligible for Argentina.
