Nikki Bella and Paige struggle in WWE storylines amid roster changes

Some places do power rankings. Here at Cageside, we do a stock report. In this weekly series, we identify three Superstars (or groups of Superstars) who are on their way up, and three that are moving in the opposite direction. After a busy week that included CM Punk and Kevin Owens not naming KO’s AEW friends, Chelsea Green not getting stripped of the WWE women’s championship, and Penta not being eliminated in the tournament to challenge Roman Reigns for the world title in Mexico City, a lot of fortunes were changed. With that in mind, let’s see whose stock decreased the most this week: Stock Down #3: Tiffany Stratton Tiffy Time ended this week on SmackDown when she was flattened by a Nia Jax legdrop, and then lost the United States championship to Jacy Jayne. Who knows, now that she is no longer champion, maybe the door is open for Stratton to go back to being a rich daddy’s girl. Stock Down #2: Nikki Bella & Paige WWE followed up on Nikki Bella’s explanation of her heel turn by cutting Paige’s response promo from the TV broadcast of this week’s episode of SmackDown. That’s obviously not a great sign for how WWE feels about the importance of their story. With SmackDown being cut down to two hours, Brie Bella out with a broken shoulder blade, and plenty of other stars to feature in the women’s division, it appears that WWE is doubtful that a Total Divas era match of Nikki Bella vs. Paige is in high demand in 2026. Stock Down #1: Dominik Mysterio WWE isn’t done burying AAA Mega Champion Dominik Mysterio, with his latest loss coming against low card guy Dragon Lee on Raw. Maybe next week Dirty Dom will lose to someone who is even lower on the card on Raw, like a local jobber, or maybe one of the Creed brothers. Now let’s see whose stock increased the most this week: Stock Up #3: MFT The Tongans were struggling to win after abandoning Solo Sikoa, but it turns out that all they needed was a dose of Haku as their new manager to regain momentum. Tama and Talla Tonga won the WWE tag team championship on SmackDown, and now have an upcoming war against Shinsuke Nakamura and his mystery friend. Stock Up #2: Big Cass WWE continues feeding babyfaces to monster heel Big Cass, this time with Big taking out both Dragon Lee and Je’Von Evans in a post-match segment on Raw. The bottom line is that Big Cass has a really big boot, and it seems that many more WWE stars will be eating it in the coming weeks. Stock Up #1: Fatal Influence All three members of Fatal Influence now have championship gold after Jacy Jayne won the United States championship on SmackDown. Fatal Influence hit a bump in the road a couple months ago when Jade Cargill and her Baddies took the spotlight in the women’s title chase, but now they are back on track to be featured in a big way on Friday nights going forward.
