Nikola Jokic aims for increased game availability in 2026-2027 NBA season

Denver Nuggets center Nikola Jokic stated his intention to play in every game during the upcoming 2026-2027 NBA season. The veteran enters his 12th year in the league following a 2025-2026 campaign where a knee injury limited his availability to approximately 65 games. Jokic noted that while he has previously questioned the physical necessity of playing a full 82-game schedule, he feels more comfortable when maintaining a consistent playing rhythm. The center expressed frustration regarding his time spent sidelined due to injury last year. Denver is currently preparing for the new season following a first-round exit in the Western Conference Playoffs against the Minnesota Timberwolves. Jokic remains a cornerstone for the Nuggets, having earned All-Star status in every season since 2018-2019.
