No. 13 LSU defeats No. 23 Clemson 51-10 in Lane Kiffin debut

LSU defeated Clemson 51-10 on Saturday night at Tiger Stadium in the debut of head coach Lane Kiffin. The Tigers opened the scoring with a Nolan Hauser field goal following an interception of LSU quarterback Sam Leavitt, but the game quickly turned in favor of the hosts. LSU accumulated 644 total yards to Clemson's 145 and outgained the visitors significantly on the ground. Sam Leavitt finished with 230 passing yards and 113 rushing yards, while Dilin Jones added over 100 rushing yards for LSU. David Eziomume recorded the only touchdown for Clemson, which struggled to generate offensive consistency under quarterbacks Christopher Vizzina and Tait Reynolds. The defeat represents the largest margin of loss for Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney since he took over the program in 2008.
