No. 23 Washburn shuts out Drury with three second-half goals

No. 23 Washburn defeated Drury 3-0 in a non-conference match held Wednesday at Yager Stadium in Topeka. After a scoreless first half, the Ichabods broke the stalemate when Leah Henke scored in the 52nd minute off an assist from Chloe Kolm. Three minutes later, a corner kick by Mackinly Rohn resulted in an own goal to increase the Washburn lead. Just 19 seconds after that, Henke scored her second goal of the night on a connection with Brynn Allison. The Ichabods maintained a 7-1 advantage in shots on goal throughout the contest. Washburn now travels to Arkansas for two upcoming road matches, starting with Ouachita Baptist on September 11 followed by Harding on September 13.
