No. 5 Indiana defeats Howard 55-0 in shortened shutout victory

The No. 5 Indiana Hoosiers moved to 2-0 on the season with a 55-0 victory against Howard at Memorial Stadium on Saturday. Both teams agreed to shorten the contest with a 10-minute fourth quarter as Indiana pulled away early. Quarterback Josh Hoover threw for 146 yards and four touchdowns while running backs Turbo Richard and Lee Beebe Jr. both surpassed 100 rushing yards. Wide receiver Charlie Becker recorded three catches for 81 yards and three touchdowns, moving his season total to five scores. The Indiana defense held Howard to limited first downs and recorded three sacks and 10 tackles for loss in the shutout. Special teams experienced struggles, as the team missed an extra point and Tyler Morris lost a fumble on a punt return.
