Nolan Schubart helps Akron RubberDucks sweep double header against Richmond

Nolan Schubart delivered a three-run home run in the first game and a walk-off double in the second to lead the Akron RubberDucks to a pair of victories over the Richmond Flying Squirrels on Friday. Akron won the opening contest 3-1 before securing a 4-3 win in eight innings during the nightcap. Elsewhere in minor league action, the Columbus Clippers earned a 7-1 victory over the Iowa Cubs, backed by a strong seven-inning outing from Rorik Maltrud and a multi-hit performance from Milan Tolentino. In High-A competition, the Lake County Captains split their double header against the Great Lakes Loons, dropping the first game 9-0 but rebounding for a 5-4 win in the second. Donovan Zsak picked up the win for Lake County in the late game despite allowing two unearned runs in the final frame.
