Norrie and Sabalenka eliminated in Montreal and Toronto respectively

Cameron Norrie has been eliminated from the National Bank Open after losing 6-2, 7-6 (10-8) to Arthur Fils in the last-16 round in Montreal. Despite matching Fils' power in the second set, Norrie failed to convert set points in the tie-break. Earlier, Norrie had achieved a significant victory over Alex de Minaur. In Toronto, World No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka suffered a surprising defeat against Ekaterina Alexandrova, losing 7-6 (7-3), 4-6, 6-4. Sabalenka, a reigning Grand Slam champion, managed to level the match after dropping the first set but could not control Alexandrova's aggressive play in the final set. Both players will now focus on their preparation for the upcoming US Open.
