The reigning World Champion had to take a 10-place grid penalty in Spa for replacing power unit components but still managed to finish P7, illustrating competitive pace. With McLaren's new floor and aerodynamic parts, the team hopes for better performance at the Hungaroring, where they achieved 1-2 finishes in the past two years. Oscar Piastri, also expecting improvements, is hoping the upgrades will enhance performance and enable him to contend for a stronger finish.
