North Carolina announces full basketball schedule for 2026-27 season

North Carolina released its complete 2026-27 Atlantic Coast Conference schedule on September 9, 2026. This marks the first season under head coach Michael Malone, who succeeded Hubert Davis. The conference slate begins December 30 with a home game against Cal. The Tar Heels are scheduled to play Duke, Louisville, and NC State twice, though the NC State matchups include one non-conference game in Greensboro. The team will host Georgia Tech, Miami, SMU, Stanford, and Virginia, while traveling to face Boston College, Florida State, Notre Dame, Pitt, Syracuse, Virginia Tech, and Wake Forest. Clemson is the only conference opponent excluded from the schedule. The team opens the regular season at home against Western Carolina on November 2.
