North Coast Paddling Club finishes first and second in Olympia race

Horse RacingAt the 3rd Annual Dragon Boat Festival held on July 11 in Budd Inlet, Olympia, Washington, North Coast Paddling Club distinguished itself by competing against itself. Two teams, Coastal Reign and Coastal Lightning, represented the club in the finals for Division E, where Coastal Reign placed first and Coastal Lightning took second, finishing just 0.04 seconds behind. The race consisted of three qualifying heats before culminating in the final heat, also featuring teams from Portland and Seattle. Participants enjoyed favorable weather and improved water conditions compared to their previous race in Seattle. The next competition for the club is scheduled for the Paddle for Life race in Ridgefield, Washington on August 1.
