North Melbourne ends contract of senior coach Alastair Clarkson

North Melbourne terminated the contract of senior coach Alastair Clarkson on Wednesday morning at Arden Street. Players were informed of the decision during an emergency meeting regarding the future of the coaching position. Clarkson, who joined the club in 2023, departs with a record of 20 wins from 82 matches in charge. He was initially under contract with the Roos until the end of 2027. This change follows a season in which the club secured nine wins. North Melbourne is now the third AFL club seeking a new senior coach for the 2027 season, following changes at Essendon and Carlton.
