Northwestern soccer teams earn 1-0 victories over Oregon and Michigan

Northwestern's men’s and women’s soccer teams both secured 1-0 wins at Martin Stadium over the weekend. The women defeated Oregon on Thursday with a goal from Ava Goodin, assisted by Megan Norkett. Goalkeeper Nyamma Nelson recorded four saves to preserve the shutout. On Friday, the men’s team edged out Michigan despite playing a man down for most of the match after Andrew Johnson was sent off. Peter Riesz scored the lone goal for the Wildcats. Up next, the women face Indiana at home, while the men travel to Rutgers.
