Norwich City defender Jakov Medic joins FC Utrecht on season-long loan

Norwich City defender Jakov Medic has departed the club to join Eredivisie side FC Utrecht on a loan deal for the remainder of the season. The 27-year-old centre-back, who arrived at Carrow Road from Ajax last summer, made 18 appearances in all competitions during his previous campaign with the Canaries. Manager Philippe Clement authorized the move to allow the defender to secure regular first-team football elsewhere. FC Utrecht, which finished sixth in the Dutch top tier last season, holds an option to purchase Medic on a permanent basis next summer. The loan arrangement concludes a period of limited rotation for the player at Norwich.
