Notre Dame players recognized on preseason award watch lists

Notre Dame's Ashton Craig and Spencer Porath have been named to prominent preseason award watch lists ahead of the 2026 college football season. Craig is on the Rimington Trophy Watch List for the second consecutive year, honoring the top center in Division I football. He previously started six games before an injury sidelined him in 2025. Porath has been named to the Lou Groza Award Watch List, recognizing the best place-kicker. After a successful season with Purdue, he converted 88.2% of his field goals and remained perfect on PAT attempts. Both players contribute to the Irish's strong prospects this season.
