The Notre Dame Fighting Irish are ranked No. 3 in the FWAA-NFF Super 16 Preseason Rankings, their highest preseason ranking ever. Ohio State is at No. 1, receiving 28 of 56 first-place votes, while Oregon follows at No. 2 after reaching the College Football Playoff Semifinals last season. Texas and defending champions Indiana are ranked fourth and sixth, respectively. The first regular season poll will be released on September 8.
