Nottingham Forest has made a €17.5 million (£14.9 million) bid for Feyenoord fullback Givairo Read, confirming the offer was rejected by the Dutch club. Fabrizio Romano reported the initial bid’s rejection and indicated that Forest may return with an improved offer of €25 million (£21.3 million). Liverpool is also interested in Read, who has been highlighted as a solution to their right-back issues, but the club has not made a move yet. Meanwhile, Brentford has secured a long-term deal for a player who was considered as an option for Liverpool.
