NRL announces men's and women's PM's XIII teams for Papua New Guinea matches

The NRL has confirmed the men's and women's Prime Minister's XIII teams to face Papua New Guinea on October 3 in Port Moresby, a day before the NRL grand final. The matches provide an opportunity for players not involved in finals to showcase their skills ahead of World Cup selections. The men's squad includes Jojo Fifita, David Fifita, and Billy Walters, while the women's team features players primarily from the Eels and Dragons. Coaches Ben Te'o and Jess Skinner will lead their respective teams. This year’s matches carry additional significance due to the upcoming World Cup in October and the future establishment of the PNG Chiefs in the NRL.
