Nuggets face threats to championship aspirations ahead of new season

Summary

As the Denver Nuggets prepare for the upcoming NBA season, concerns are rising about their championship outlook following roster changes since their 2023 title win. Key players Nikola Jokić, Jamal Murray, and Aaron Gordon remain, but the team experienced its worst playoff performance recently. Age impacting player performance, particularly for Gordon, and injury issues influenced a challenging 2025-26 season, where the team employed 28 different starting lineups. With significant contributors in Tim Hardaway Jr. and Bruce Brown entering free agency, the Nuggets must navigate potential depth issues that could impact their competitiveness in a more difficult Western Conference this summer.
