Nuggets sign Ryan Nembhard and waive KJ Simpson ahead of training camp

Summary

The Denver Nuggets have signed guard Ryan Nembhard to a two-way contract and waived KJ Simpson as training camp approaches. Nembhard, previously with the Dallas Mavericks, had a standout game against the Nuggets in December, scoring 28 points and registering 10 assists. His addition reflects Denver's strategy to enhance its backcourt depth with a playmaker who averaged 6.6 points and 5.3 assists in his rookie season. Simpson, a former Colorado standout, struggled to secure his spot on the roster despite a strong summer showing. Nembhard's signing creates new opportunities for both players as they navigate their respective career paths in the NBA.
